Tableau Developer

Responsibilities

• Exceptional understanding of ETL concepts, processes, and tools – Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or Data Stage and Should have proficiency in using Talend Studio, Talend Open Studio, and other related tools
• Create, modify, and test ETL processes using Talend Studio based on business requirements
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with various database systems (e.g.,Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau architecture
• Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau
• Implement data cleansing and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Strong understanding of file management concepts, processes, and tools (sFTP, PGP Encryption etc), scheduling/automation concepts, processes, and tools
• Perform data transformations, mapping, and enrichment as per business logic and rules
• Experience in designing and implementing large databases and data warehouses utilizing both relational and dimensional design concepts
• Deploy ETL processes to production environments and monitor job execution for any failures or performance issues.
• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of data integration and ETL processes.
• Strong Knowledge of software engineering and development methodologies, techniques, and tools, including SVN, Issue Tracking (Jira), and Software Development Lifecycle (waterfall, agile)
• Design and implement technical vision for client project

Qualification:

• 5+ years of experience with ETL tools such as Tableau, Talend, Informatica, SSIS and/or Data Stage
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
• Knowledge of programing and/or scripting language such as: Python, Java, Bash, Perl
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or other major RDBMS
• Understanding of cloud technologies and/or big data platforms – AWS, GCP, Azure, Hadoop
• Strong understanding of scheduling/automation concepts, processes, and tools
• Ability to present, both verbal and written, to team members, capability members, portfolio members, and clients at the appropriate technological level
• Strong project/task management skills

Additional Skills:

• Good to have the Knowledge of programing and/or scripting language such as: Python, Java, Bash, Perl
• Good to have an Understanding of cloud technologies and/or big data platforms – AWS, GCP, Azure, Hadoop
• Good to have experience in Migration of tableau reports from on-prem to cloud system
• Good to have additional reporting knowledge on any other tools like Power BI, Alteryx , SAP Analytics etc
