Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Integration: Lead the design and integration of mechanical components and systems for Defence and commercial vehicles, ensuring functionality, durability, and performance optimization.
- Mechanical Design Software Proficiency: Utilize advanced proficiency in software tools like Catia and Unigraphics to create detailed designs, conduct simulations, and iterate on designs for improved efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of components and systems.
- Design Standards and Best Practices: Uphold and implement design standards and best practices throughout the design process, ensuring quality, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and troubleshoot design issues, providing innovative solutions to overcome challenges and optimize performance.
- Cost-saving Initiatives: Drive cost-saving initiatives through innovative design solutions, value engineering, and optimization of mechanical systems.
- Project Management Support: Provide technical expertise and support to project managers, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and adherence to project budgets.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
18+ years of experience in Defence and commercial vehicle integration.
Proficiency in mechanical design software such as Catia and Unigraphics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Commitment to implementing design standards and best practices.
Proven track record of delivering cost-saving initiatives and troubleshooting design issues effectively.
